Tejomay Summer Volunteering 2019 – Day 1

On 22nd April 2019 Aparna Dixit – the founder of Tejomay Charitable Trust, took five teenagers – Tejomay’s young change makers for five days of volunteering at “ – A community working to spread the message of love and equality”.

Our young change makers  – Arjyo Dutta – 8th Grader,  Aryan Dixit – 8th Grader, Monish Kumar – 10th Grader, Shaina Dulles – 8th Grader, Smriti Subramaniam – First year BCom – Tejomay Intern.

They all  showed great interest and commitment for this volunteering so much that everyday they spent 9am to 4pm for this cause. They worked with other young volunteers present at Sandesh and completed the tasks assigned to them. They also got hands on experience on the work Sandesh does…making different products. Children made painted Diyas, block printing etc…They also made some posters for Sandesh. The most important part of this volunteering was, our young change makers interacted with all the Sandesh members and spent time with them.
